This Privacy Policy describes how the Whisper Files mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “our”) handles information when you use it. The App is developed and published by Can Gökçel (“the Developer”), based in Turkey.
We have written this policy in plain language because we believe you should be able to understand it without a lawyer. If anything is unclear, write to us at the email at the bottom.
Whisper Files is a single-player puzzle game that runs entirely on your device. It does not have user accounts. It does not have a server we control. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information about you. Your game progress is saved only on your own device. The only outside service we use is Apple’s App Store and StoreKit, which Apple operates under their own privacy policy when you buy a hint pack.
Information stored on your device only. The App stores your game progress (which cases you have solved, clues found, language preference, music settings, hint coin balance, achievements, fastest case times) in your device’s local storage. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
Information NOT collected. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
The App does not contain advertising and does not share data with advertisers.
The App offers optional in-app purchases of hint coin packs. When you choose to buy hint coins, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple’s App Store using their StoreKit system. We never see your credit card number, billing address, or other payment information. Apple shares with us only the fact that a purchase was completed, so we can deliver the coins.
Apple’s handling of your purchase information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
The App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
You can reset all locally-stored game progress at any time using the “Reset” button inside the App. This deletes your progress from your device. Hint coins, achievements, and language preferences are preserved through a reset. To delete everything including hint coins, delete the App from your device.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new policy at the same URL. Continued use of the App after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the changes.

We will respond within a reasonable time. Under Turkish KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) and the EU GDPR, you have the right to ask whether we hold any data about you, and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because we don’t collect any data, the practical answer to those requests will usually be “we have no data to correct or delete,” but you are welcome to write to us with the question.
